KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, engineering college in Coimbatore offers engineering education without the basic infrastructural facilities. The college was established in the year 2009. According to student complaints, the institution does not have proper labs and equipment to carry out practical learning. Low class infrastructure and lack of facilities are part of the day-to-day life of the students at KPR College.
Out-dated computers with obsolete software are present in the labs of the college and even after many complaints, the college management is not ready to repair or change the software, but forces the students to continue learning using them. In some situations when the students are not able to use the systems, the management and the staff are adapting theory-based learning which is intensely affecting the knowledge of the students.
Engineering degree requires a lot of practical learning to develop their application-level skills, but due to this attitude of the management of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, the students are put in deep trouble to complete their engineering education with proper learning. They are also being not ready for the industry because of their lack of practical knowledge. The students who pass out of KPR College therefore finds it difficult to find proper jobs after their education. The institution also does not offer proper placements which adds to the already problematic situation.
KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology even lacks in offering proper internet connection. Even though the campus claims to be fully WIFI enabled, the students report that they have never been able to use internet offered by the college. The facilities in the auditoriums and seminar halls are also limited comparing to what they claim to have. The major issue of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology is that even after all these complaints to the management about this lack of facilities, they still refuse to acknowledge and enhance the situation. Therefore, students planning to join this college to think and research well before taking the decision.
